I keep getting water in my garage. I have checked the slope of the concrete and it falls away from the door but I continue to get water inside if it rains against the door.
1. I have put sillicone against the seals and the concrete thinking water maybe coming from under the seals.
2. I have one of those rubber things (you can tell I know what I am doing) that you put on the floor where the garage door comes down so that it helps to keep water out and it is not helping either.
I think what is happening is water is getting into the grooves of the garage door and then running down the edges and going into the garage. I hope this makes sense.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Silicone is our worst enemy when it is used for something it wasn't meant to be used for. And this is one of them. How old is your door (within 10 years)? Is it wood, metal, fiberglas, plastic? Is it insulated? Do the door panels interlock when the door is closed, or are there gaps? The rubber gasket at the bottom generally does a good job of keeping most of the water out. How much water are we talking about, and in what part of the country do you reside. If it is where there has been an inordinate amount of rain this early spring, it may be a wind driven thing.

Thanks Chandler
I live in East TN.
We have been in a drought condition as of late but anytime rain hits against the garage door it goes into the garage. It not much but about 1/8th of an will gather in corner or the garage where the door comes down.
It is a metal uninsulated door. It is a hinged door. One problem that I think helps to cause the issue is that I do not have an overhang. Where my garage door the house has a peak there. So it doesn't have that extra protection to keep water of it when it does rain.
Thanks again and any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We're neighbors, so we are having the same dry problem you are. Garage doors with any age on them, without an overhang, will generally have a little bypass water. Not alot, but just enough to notice and be a pain. Mine are the same way. I did install side swipes and new bottom on the doors, and it helped alot, but we still get a little when the rain is driven from that side.

Tell me about it. I wouldn't mind a little water if we got some more rain.
I was looking at my garage door situation and the people that owned the house before we did are the ones that put the garage threshold kit on. I think they put it back to far. The garage door comes down right on top of it not on the back side of it. I am going to pull that up and put it back and see if that helps.
I am going to see if I put some sort of weather stripping in between the sections of the door to keep water out of it as well. I am also going to look for something I put on the corners to try and keep the water out as well.
Thanks for the advice Chandler. I think I am going to see if I can clean up that silicone as well.
