I have a Homelite Trimmer that I got last year NEW and for some reason this year it's not starting. I put a new spark plug in it, cleaned it up and still nothing. It pulls fine and strong, just will NOT turn over.
I pulled out the airfilter for the carb, cleaned it and still nothing. The only time I get it to turn over (and only for 3 sec.) is when I spray starter fluid in the carb.

I don't want to throw it away... it's still NEW... what can I do?

Clean and recondition the carburetor.

try to remove the spark arester the screen in side of muffler or on the side of it .. and clean it puit it back on.. it may be clog up not getting a nuff air . it may be running to rich or to much oil
