I Have presently vinyl tiles curling off my cement staircase which apperently look about 15 years old. The area the staircase is located is a transition between basement and outer door with little or no moisture. I have decided to replace with outdoor carpet. Not the cheap stuff, looks almost like a heavy loop berber which doesn't have alot of stretching capabilities. From reading some of the posts, doesn't look like an underpad is an option.
Is there a particular glue the works best ?
What direction should I start ?
I have 2 pieces to join together - Proper seam location ?
For now I'll scrape and vaccuum while waiting, thx.

Strip and pad rather than glue down IS an option if you want to go that way. Glue the strip, let it set up a day, and boot the steps in. Glue down will work also, but can be a bit frustrating until the glue gets tacky and starts to hold. I try to avoid seams on steps, period. If you simply can't, put it as far out of the main traffic pattern as possible.
