I found some useful info on another forum about a flooring called Amtico. Is anyone familiar with how this wears? Does anyone have this floor or have you installed it? I'd love to hear how it compares to laminate. I know they're totally different, but the difference could be a benefit as far as sound and feel with the Amtico.
Thanks for any input!

It is spec'd for commercial applications all the time and wears pretty well. Replacing a plank if it does get damaged is way easier, then laminate or wood.

FYI for anyone else reading this, Amtico has a solid vinyl (plastic) core, whereas regular laminate has a pressboard core, which means Amtico can get wet & is not adversely affected at all, whereas regular laminate will swell & buckle & be ruined. so it's GREAT for wet areas like foyers, bathrooms, laundry rooms, & kitchens.
