i have 3 year old vinyl ? resin? plastic? wicker looking patio furniture that is too light in color. my question is; is there a product or technique to create a translucent stain in a deeper shade of brown? i have looked online at something called plasti-kote vinyl color, that is supposed to penetrate the vinyl to change the color, not just set on top like paint. it's used in the automotive industry.
rit dye in a spray bottle?
any thoughts?

With proper surface prep, you may have some luck with the plasti-cote, but it will not be a permanent solution. UVB rays, air pollution, and weather take a toll on porous plastic (PVC) products. Rit dye is for fabrics and not even a permanent solution for them due to fading when washing.

thanks. i was basing my hopes on the fact that an unwanted stain such a ink can cause a permenent mark on vinyl. guess i'll leave it alone.
