If you provide the model # of your rider, I think it will be made by MTD and I can locate an owners manual with the requested instructions.

Should be an AYP. The belt should go from the engine to the insides of both center idler pulleys on the deck, and out to each mandrel pulley...kind of forms a "T" shape if looking at it from the front of the mower.
