I currently have a Caretaker Plus system with a siren/speaker unit, that announces voice commands over a speaker. When the system was installed they placed another siren unit downstairs, but it doesn't have the voice capabilities. It just beeps. I would like to replaces this unit with one that does have the voice capabilities, if possible.

I've located a GE Sentrol MPI-35 Security Siren/Speaker but I am unsure whether it will work with my system. Can anyone confirm that this is what I need?

It will work, but you will have to wire it to the speaker output rather than siren output on the circuit board.
