Hello,

I just got my driveway stamped only two days ago and the day it was finished and marked off with caution tape some kid decided to ride his bike over it, nows there's a tire mark on the corner on my driveway...kinda like engraved not so deep but you can see it. Anyway to remove this some how??

When it was stamped, did they use liquid or powdered release agent (the antiquing, secondary color which is used just prior to stamping)? Also, did they use cast-on color hardener to color the drive, or did the concrete come out of the truck already colored? How did they clean the slab prior to sealing it (power washer, acid wash, etc.)? If you don't know these answers call your contractor and then post them back here. I've fixed areas like this a million times but I would need to know the particulars before I can tell you how to proceed.

They used the powdered release and the concrete came out from the truck colored. we havent sealed it just yet, but it has been power washed.

Well, it would be a lot easier to fix if it had been a dust-on color hardener instead of integrally colored concrete, but here goes anyway. First, are they going to clean it further or simply leave it the way it was after pressure washing? The reason I ask is that I have found that pressure washing alone does not take off enough release agent, which can lead to color and sealer problems down the road. If all you can see is the release color, then not enough release has been removed. The release color should ONLY be in the stamped joints, and all the little nooks and crannies of the deeper texture. I am assuming here that you picked 2 contrasting colors for the concrete color and the antiquing release agent.
To get enough release off, we acid wash with about a 10:1 water to muriatic acid solution applied with an all-plastic garden sprayer. The surface is then agitated with a soft push broom, and the surface is thoroughly cleaned with a garden hose.
At this point, the tire track will be VERY noticeable. You can try to get as much release agent off of the track by using spot treatments of less-diluted acid and a stiff brush, but the best way to attack it is to get a pail of color hardener that is as close to the concrete color as possible, some acryl-60 or quickrete bonding agent, and making a very liquid mix with it. It will be basically an acrylic paint containing colored cement. Use a small bush to dab this here and there along the track. If you paint the whole track, it will show up almost as bad as it is now. You're just trying to camouflage it.
After you hide it as much as possible, dab some of the release agent here and there along it to hide it further.
I forgot to mention that the stamped concrete will look a LOT different after it is sealed, so it may be best to seal around the tire track first to see what color you are ultimately trying to match. Then proceed as I described.
It would help a lot to know what color (brand and shade) the concrete is and also the brand and color of release agent. I may be able to make some suggestions as to what color hardener to buy for a close match. Good luck.
