Tonight I removed the screws from a door hinge to put in some cardboard shims. When I went to reinstall the hinge the screws stripped in the door jam, they just keep spinning and spinning. The screws are 1 1/2" so now sure how much bigger I can go. Any other options to fix this problem?

Glue dowels in the holes and redrill for the screws.
