We moved into a house few years ago with a Westec MS4000 installed. It's time to upgrade from this ancient orphaned local system to a better and more commonly used system (with remote controls). I would like to keep and re-use the 2 existing indoor montion sensors, all the hard wires (that run in the wall), indoor siren, and all the magnetics on the windows. What system do you recommend? I would prefer an inexpensive and easy-to-do-it-yourself system (CPU, 2 panels, battery, AC adapters). Thanks!

Browse through the archives, as this topic comes up a lot. The upshot is that most people find the GE/ITI Concord family panels to be very DIY friendly, and quite flexible.
