I building a free standing 14'x18'deck that will be tight against my pool. For the headers of the rim joists I only have 16' boards. How do I attach them if I'm only to put the 2 outer (left & right) joist on? I will be short 2'. Or is there a better way to frame it? Should I just install all the joist first then the front and back rim?
