Is there a standard distance for the plumbing (waste drain) from a back wall stud? I have recently gutted my bathrom and am having issues finding a bathtub that will fit in the 'standard' 60x30 opening. My plumbing is 14 inches from the back wall (60 in wall) stud to the middle of the drain. I am looking up specs on these bathtubs and finding real goofy numbers for distance away from wall. Some were 14 1/4 some were 14 5/8. All I want to put back in is just a standard tub that doesn't look cheap but doesnt put me out of my budget.

Thanks in advance.

The distance can vary depending on a lot of factors, that is why those pipes are usually slip joint connections. It allows adjustability.
