I have a supposedly self pollinating plum that didn't bring fruit for years. then I bought a supposedly non-fruit bearing weeping cherry thinking that neither would bring fruit and they would just be nice ornamentals.
Guess what? They have pollinated each other and are both fruiting this year.
So now that we have fruit, how do I maintain these things?

Your local Cooperative Extension Agent should be able to provide you with information on recommended spraying program for fruit trees in your area and what products are used. He can also provide information on pruning, as well as harvesting and preserving fruits.
