Greetings, first time poster here.

I have recently bought an A/C on sale not seeing that it was designed for windows that pull down. Unfortionaltly my windows slide sideways. There is nothing on the sides of the A/C that the window can latch onto and everything i could come up with leaves the A/C feeling unsecure. is there something i am missing that i could doto get this unit installed on my window?

Nothing "professional" comes to mind. The system is designed for a different application, and any alterations are "rigging"

now it is possible, build a stand outside, cover the rest of the opening with a foam. or something to keep the cold in and the heat out.
