Hi,
The unit is still working, but the system light is on and won't let me program it. I've called the alarm company, but they want $150 an hr. to come out and look at it. The DSC 1550 was bought in 2001. Do you have any ideas as to why this light is on? Is there anything minor that I could do myself to get it up and running again? I'm still under contract w/this company. Thanks!

Press *2 and compare it to the table in your user manual. Odds are it's either low battery or the clock needs to be set (or both).
