Can anyone tell me the name of this flower? How long does it bloom? The bloom has been about a week now. The stem is about 3 feet tall and only blooms at the top. There are 3 to 4 other pods at the top that have not bloomed yet. I planted them as bulbs. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb211/Badeyeben/flower.jpg

Hmmm... with research, it looks like the Asiatic Hybrid 'Connecticut Hybrid'. See here:

Just a based on this info:

the blooms should last 3-4 weeks.
Please check back as others may chime in ;)

Thank you! I believe you have the correct name. Asiatic Lily. They are planted under my TV tower right now. I know not many of them around nowadays. That is about 3 feet from the north side of the house. I wanted to move them farther out into the yard. Was not sure if they needed planter or could be mowed after bloom but I see they should not be cut down until late fall. After frost. Problem I see to moving them is they will get no shade at all where they would go so it looks like it is best to leave them where they are as they are doing great there. Thanks again for your research.
