Hello,
Have a problem with my water heater. Pilot light is lit, burner will not light. Water heater is a Reliant 605 about 3 years old.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

I typed the brand name incorrectly. It is a Reliance 605, not reliant. Sry.
Any suggestions? I really don't want to replace the water heater 'again' unless absolutely necessary. Could it be the thermocouple even though the pilot light is lit and seems to be functioning normally? Is it the control box? Can this be replaced be me? Is there an adjustment I can make or a test that I can do to verify if it is bad?
Thanks ahead.
