Has anyone cleaned an A/C evaporator coil? It is not cased.

There is a comb that fits the fins . Use it dry then wash with water . They have cleaners that you can use on the coil also.

You can buy a product in a spray can for cleaning evaporators. It does not require rinsing with water and does a decent job. It is made by NuCalgon and is called Evap Coil Cleaner. It is much easier and less messy than washing with a garden hise.
