I'm installing 3/4" X 3" Hardwood over top of an old 3/8" X 1" 3/4 Hardwood floor. The old floor is on top of a 1" diagnol plank subfloor. In between the old hardwood and subfloor is some type of black paper, maybe tar paper. This floor is above the basement. Anyway, do I need to install another layer of this paper between the new hardwood and old hardwood?
