I've been away from alarms for a while after my partner that I used to work with on alarms was shot and died sometime back.
I have several C&K panels that are still in use today, but since the company is no longer in business, is anyone aware of generic software that I can use to program and control these panels?

I am not ready to get rid of them since I have had tremendous success with them over the years. Never any false alarms. They were a great residential panel.

Another question I have is with an Ademco 20P panel. It's 8-zone hardwire out of the box. I have an add-on zone expander board made for that panel. Since I am rusty, exactly how do I wire it to the main panel to get the extra 8 or so zones on that board?
And is zone 8 pretty much a "24 hour" zone as it was some years back?

Thanks for any input

There's no generic software for any of the alarm panels. It all was and still remains proprietary.

The expansion board wires into the system like a keypad on a Vista panel. The zones are all programmable. They can be any zone type, including the custom configurable zones.
