I have ice building up on the pcv pipe going into my inside furness. And I opened the panel and there was ice on the coil. And I do not think my AC is shutting off and it keeps running. What do you think the problem may be? My system is about 10yrs old. Thank you for any advise you can give me.

Sounds like there are a few things.
-Low on charge.
-Dirty coil
-poor air flow.
-Dirty filter.
Turn off the eqipement before damage is done.. You may leave the t-stat fan switch to "ON" to help thaw the coil, and keep an eye on it so the water don't run over into the furnace.
If the air flow, filter and clean coil is there, then you may have to call in for service to check the charge.

Thank you so much for your input. I will go home and check these things as soon as I get off of work. I did shut the unit down this morning before I came to work.

A freezing air conditioner is caused by only two things. (1) Insufficienct air flow (usually caused by a dirty air filter). (2) Low on refrigerant.
Turn the unit off & allow it to thaw overnight. Make sure air filters are clean & all vents are open & not blocked. If all appears to be OK, you need to call a service person.
