Hi everyone, I have some questions regarding my central AC units. I have two units. I have recently notice that alot of drainage was dripping out of the tube outside. Here are my question:
1 Is this drainage normal?
2 Would anyone know how much it would cost to charge up the freon to these units? I also noticed that the tube outside does not feel cold to the touch so I figure it might need a charge. I had my units for 10 years now.
3. Is there something I can buy at Lowes or Home Depot to clean out the dirty coils? I think they are dirty even though I clean out the air filters.
Please advise. thank you so much in advance.

Whats it from???? over flow pan or the drain from the AC????
If the big copper line is not cold and wet. Everything is running Id say call a tech to check the units and the freon. Cost is so different all over cant say

Sorry, the drainage would be from the overflown pan. At least that's what I think since it's from the attic space and not from the unit outside.

Still need to know just what do you have there. Is the drain from the overflow pan???? Or the coil. Filters should be new every 30 to90 days. If you not sure what you have and its been 10 years Id call a tech to check it out.

If you are getting water from the drain that never drained before and is tied to an overflow pan under the furnace/air handler, call for service and turn off the a/c before any damage can happen.

Thank you so much for the advice. I guess there is really nothing I can do on my end so I will just have to call the A/C Tech out to work on it.
Thanks again for your help.
