I have had my deck for 3 years and did not stain it until the 2nd year and i already need to stain the treads again. I used wohlmans stain and cleaned it well with bleach tsp and water. By the way the stain did not soak in.I thought it was supposed to better than it did. it looks just like i painted it. why didnt it soak in better, any ideas? Before i restain it what should i use to clean it last time i had no flowers around, this time i do. bleach and tsp are not good on flowers as you know. what do you recommend. soap and water?
why did this stain not soak in better than it did is what really puzzles me. i heard it was suppose to soak in where paint doesnt.
