hello,

does anyone know what is the best professional carpet cleaning method for a reasonable price?

there seems to be several options and i don't know what is the best.

i have your typical beige carpet, 3 rooms in an apt and its pretty dirty.

the cheaper the better, but has to be good quality.

thanks!

My experience has been a good hot water extraction. Some refer to it as steam cleaning, but I'm not sure they're the same. I definitely don't care for dry cleaning. I've never seen one that did the job hot water extraction does.

Some prefer the dry method, but I'm with smokey in liking hot water extraction better.

the Carpet and Rug Institute recommends an annual hot water extraction carpet cleaning, so do many carpet manufacturers.

I "acquired" a brand new Rug Doctor X. It's the cleaning machines you typically rent at grocery stores.

This thing works awesome! I have two young children and a large dog. Needless to say, they turn my beige carpet to brown. These machines pull everything up.

It would save you some money just to rent this machine for a day.

The cleaning solution for it is the expensive part. About $18.00 for a bottle.
