Hi, I'm in the middle of installing engineered bamboo in my house (about 1300sf), and I've run into a few issues that maybe someone can help me out with? First, I've been reading about Lumber Liquidators milling issues on this forum. Guess which wood I've got? It's been going together OK when the groove side is against the wall working out, but we started in a hall so it would look parallel from the beginning and now going to into the bedrooms where we work from the groove side back into the room, (without thresholds) the pieces aren't going together too well. Is engineered wood supposed to click together from either side? I'm wondering if my problems are exacerbated by possibly poor milling, or some bowing in the boards before install. As per LL's instructions, I opened the ends of boxes so they could acclimate, but not the tops so they wouldn't warp. I live in dry, dry Las Vegas. They come out of the box straight, but quickly, in like half an hour, they bow a bit making it hard to fit the tongue under and into the groove side.
Also, am I crazy for wanted to do unbroken wood through the whole house with no thresholds? This would solve the "backwards" groove side installation as we could turn the planks around if there were a threshold, but it look much better without. Sorry for the long post, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..................

With a glueless T&G floating floor, it is recommended each area / room be a separate independent floating section. You can get separation at the doorway, if the boards run with the door, instead of the lengths running trough the doors in a stagger.

Thanks for the help. It turns out if you place the boards quickly they lay straight enough to place the tongue under the groove OK, and they sit well. Thanks again............
