Which type of pad produces cooler air - the traditional wood fiber pad or the newer fiberglass (plastic?) ones? Are the newer ones actually better than the fiber pads?

Id say pads are pads And the new ones hold up better than the wood.
Its more is how fast the air goes over the pad and to what the temp of the air is and the humidity in it

Hi, I started to use the green pads. i think they work better then the aspen pads. they have a little oder at start up . the maker says to put a capful of dish washing liquid. they are easy to work with and install. they have been working good. use a purge pump too and that will help the minerals out and i cleen the pan once a month that helps too.
