Is it possible to program my DSC Power 832 to identify the door or window zone when they are open, (when the system is not armed) and the chime has been turned on?

My previous system would show the zone, such as "Front Door" or "Kitchen Window" when the door or window was opened and I would like to program my DSC unit to show the same on the LCD display.

Currently I have to go to the keypad and press one of the arrow buttons to determine what set the chime off.

Thank you

Nope, with the LCD 5500 keypad, there is no setting to make open zones automatically display. You have to use the scroll keys.

MrRon,

Thank you for the reply, but the verification that my unit will not display the open zone really stinks.

Thank you.

Auto scroll of open zones is available for V3.0 and higher LCD5500 keypads.

Programming section [076] option 8 "ON" for Auto Scroll

V2.x and lower LCD5500 keypads did not support this option. They also only used 2 digit programming sections vs 3 digit for the 3.x versions.

Good point. My copy of the manual is a version 2, so you are correct. The option is available if you have the newer version.
