I am putting in a corner shower unit in a bathroom and the floor is not level. Of course, the base needs to sit on a level surface, so I cut a piece of plywood subfloor in the shape of the base, shimmed it to level and screwed it into the orignal subfloor.
It seems to havea very slight give in it when weight is applied. Should I have used something else?

I *believe* you should have put a mortar bed or something of the like under it. I know that's what gets recommended a lot around here for bathtubs, so I can only assume the same goes for standing showers.
