When I flush my toilet it flushes okay, but right after it makes a grinding noise? What is that noise? Can I fix it on my own?

Change the ballcock..the valve in the rear left of your tank. Unlses it is an old ancient valve..in which case you might be able to just clean it up and get a couple new washers etc.
