Carl,

You asked if the timer was advancing at all, not sure if you got my reply. It DOES advance on the air only mode but does NOT advance when on the * setting with lo or hi heat? Any advice?

I have a 12 year old Whirlpool dryer that dries clothes well but the timer does not advance. For example, I threw in a load to dry yesterday and put the timer on the * setting (most energy efficient), the dryer ran and turned off when the clothes were dry (so the sensor must be working), but the timer was still on the * Any suggestions?
