The oven Self Clean cycle was accidently activated and an attempt was made to stop it by quickly opening the door.
Result: The door lock activated with the door in the open position, the oven is inoperative and the control panel has been flashing "Lockeddoor" ever since.
Turning off the power to the Range for periods of 30 seconds, five minutes and overnight did not correct the problem.
There is obviously a procedure for correction of the problem. Whether it can be done by the homeowner is the question?
