My wife received one of these as a birthday gift in a small pot for her birthday w/out care instructions. How would one go about caring for it. Should we keep it indoors, how much to water, and what type of light does it need.
Thanks in advance

Get lilie in the ground ASAP. Asiatic lilies need full sun, at least 6-8 hours a day. They are not picky about their soil, as long as it is well drained. They are hardy outdoors. Mulch is recommended for winter. Remove in spring after last hard frost. Fertilize in spring with 5-10-10 or slow release fertilizer. Water early in day and at base of plant. Carefully remove dead blossoms. Do not remove leaves or stems as they continue to photosynthesize and make food for the bulb. Remove old foliage in spring or fall by cutting down dead stalks. You might want to add some early, mid- and late-blooming cultivars for blooms from spring through fall.
