We have lived here for ten years. No repairman has ever mentioned that the fan blades on our downstairs unit are turning the wrong way. Outside fan blades were not turning Sunday night. Override switch was hit Monday afternoon; blades began turning. Air was not cool. Pipe not cold. Put freon in on Tuesday and am told blades are going wrong way. Capacitor wires switched? Not sure what to do here. Any help would be great. Thanks! Lennox HS21-111

Which fan is turning backward? Indoor or ourdoor?
Check the model number again, I went to the Lennox site and found info on an HS21 A/C in both Active production and Obsolete. But no HS21-111, I did find -411, -511, and -651.
Info Please...

Sorry. Typo. It's the outside fan turning the wrong way.

It takes a few tricks to get a single phase motor to turn backward, so I might rule out the motor.
Some older Lenoxx units used a 2 piece fan blade that could be install upside down.
First check is air blowing up from the fan when it's running?
Second check. In the picture I looked at of your unit, if your facing the solid panel looking at the fan. Not any part of the coil, but the service panel. I really need to set up my web space for guys like you to download manuals, soon.
If you move a fan blade (POWER OFF OF UNIT) to the right corner the curviture should be low toward you and rise toward the opposite side of the unit you are looking at. If the curve is coming up toward you the blade is on upside down.
