Hey does anyone no or have any suggestions about how to decide what carpting style i could use or the tools and equipment that i might need to carpet my basement.

Sure. What sort of use is it going to get? Rec room, bedrooms, store room? Are you going to install it yourself? Will it be stretched over pad or glued down? A little more info would be helpful.
