Just bought one of these from ebay, but it didn't come with any instructions. I've learned that most of the ITI wireless devices are learned in by tripping the tamper switch, but this device does not have one...nowhere that I can find.
I've noticed a small jumper on the circuit board, also a place where a jumper could be installed, and I suspect that it has something to do with that, but I would like some confirmation before I plow ahead with this thing.
Does anybody know how these devices are learned into a Caretaker Plus system?
Thanks...Randy

On most of these, removing the outer cover trips the tamper switch.

Not on this one. It has no tamper switch, but I figured it out. I was going to try removing the jumper and placing it onto the other set of pins on the pc board, but as soon as I removed the jumper it tripped and was recognized. Put the jumper back and it tested ok.
Wasn't quite sure which group to put it in so I chose 13. Is that proper for sound sensors?
Thanks...Randy

It's as good as any. I often use the same zone type/sensor group as a motion detector for these, but it's not the kind of device that gets tripped that often, so either works just fine.

If you want it active when you go to bed at night, put it in group 15, if not, keep it in 13...

15-no restore. Does that mean that the alarm will not reset itself if triggered by this device, and why wouldn't it be active at night in 13?

Oops, my bad, I had thought you mentioned group 17....Keep it at 13!

Got it.
Thanks for looking after me, though. I appreciate it.
