I have a number of African Violets that I would like to bring outside for the spring/summer. They are currently on a growing rack inside. I'd like to place them on my front porch with is shaded by an overhang and large tree. They will get some morning sun and indirect light the rest of the day.

What is the best way to do this? I want to avoid too much sun too fast as for the risk of burning the leaves.

Thanks!!

African violets are best left indoors. Night temperatures should be between 65 and 70 degrees. Daytime temperature should not exceed 80 degrees. Leaves do not like to get wet. They prefer high humidity and good light but not direct.
