I want to relocate the outside central air condenser unit.

Rather than brazing the 3/8" and 5/8" lines, can I use compression fittings?

No, compression fittings might seal water but they won't hold refrigerant.

not true - all of trane's climatuf compressors are compression - It might work for line sets but not very common

NO WAY can you .. Also that is not compression fittings on the Trane climatuff compressors at all. That is the good old Rotolock fittings. That they all used years ago. ;)
