I have an older Kenmore(GE) stove/oven 362.7391993 that came with a house I bought set up for Propane. I just converted to natural gas. I have no owner's manual for the oven/stove and the old owner apparently threw away the original NG burner orifices(groan!) for the cooktop. I ordered new orifices, installed them and adjusted the broiler and oven burners and it appears to work the following exceptions I was hoping you could help me with
1.) The surface burners will ignite and burn fine except when I turn it it all the way down to LOW the flame goes out, which is obviously very dangerous. Again, I've changed the burner spuds but I cannot find any kind of "adjustment screw" or anything to further adjust the burner. I have spent a lot of time looking through this oven so if there is some kind of adjustable setting, please be very description of what it is an looks like because I've probably been looking at it an not even realizing it's adjustable
2.) Any help on the oven settings, like how many turns the broiler and oven burners need to be unscrewed(from LP) to work efficiently? How small should the air shutter bet set for, as this lacks any kind of markings? 1/2, 1/4, completely shut?
Any help is appreciated, as if I can't solve #1 I'm going to have to get a new stove. Thanks!

Hello goat6500. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
As far as the top burners are concerned, some burner flames can be adjusted while others cannot. All depends on the burner valve. If there is a pointed pin like part pressed into the valves outlet, then screwing the orifice down will lower the flame. Unscrewing out wards will increase the flame size.
If the valves outlet does not have the tapper pin inside the outlet, then the orifice hole size is pre set and no amount of adjustment is possible. If this is the case, then a compromise in flame size between highest and lowest is about all the is possible. With the exception of the air shutters, if equipped with any.
Air shutters on any burner are to be set so there is no yellow in the flames. Applies to top burners as well as oven/broiler burners. Adjust flame size first on oven/broiler, then adjust air shutter.

To add to what Sharp said, there is a chance that there is a low flame setting (also known as a simmer setting) screw recessed into the stem of the burner valves.
If you take off the cook top burner knobs the center of the stem should be hollow. Look down the center with a flash light and there should be an adjustment. Use a long, narrow regular screwdriver to make the adjustment. You will need to turn it counter-clockwise to raise the flame.

Haven't had any luck so far. What are the 'valve outlets' and what do they look like? Air shutters for the orifices, where and what do they look like?
I apologize but the owner's manual has been on backorder for over a week now from Sears.
Any other advice or someone with experience with this particular model?
