I have a DSC 832 (PC5010) with two partitions. The alarm system was connected to monitoring station with a phone line and long range alarm transmitter. I have disconnected the phone line due to interference with land line. Now only one partition communicates with monitoring station. The other partition activates properly and gives a closing confirmation beep, but no signal received at the monitoring station. The partition programming (362, 365,etc set to use phone 1, which is long range radio). Any ideas? Thanks

My inclination would be to check the report codes for the zones in question.

There are a _lot_ of variables involved, and the limited information provided doesn't really give a good starting point.

Both partition communicated with monitoring station when the phone was connected before. The long range radio is KP electronics ATS100 VHF 136-174 MHz frequency range. The partitions each have a different account number. In partition programming (communicator dialing) (361,362,363,364,365,366,367,368) are all enabled for phone 1. Please let me know if more information needed

Ok, this is clearly not the LINKS unit made by DSC for these systems. This is an aftermarket system with it's own programming and message routing path. It is not the equivalent of a cellular phone dialer.

Looking at the specs for this device on the maker's website: http://www.kpsystems.com/KPS/Templates/showpage.asp?DBID=1&LNGID=1&TMID=108&FID=362&PID=561&IID=538

It appears to me that it probably has to be configured for the specific zones that it transmits. Basically, the alarm panel programming has nothing to do with what is transmitted via this transmitter.

More info. The AST100 radio is connected to DSC board through its Dialer interface card via "tip" and "Ring" connections. Partition 1 communicates to monitoring station thru the radio (AST100) in a separate account. Partition 2 signals (open, close, etc) does not get registered (receive) in the second account, eventhough its keypad emits closing confirmation beep.
I hope this is a bit more clear.

Yes, what I am telling you is that that device is not configured to send transmissions for that second account. The radio unit, and probably the receiver account would have to be configured to transmit the additional signals and account. All this thing does is radio the signals to a receiver, which then retransmits them to the monitoring center. In this case it has no idea what to do with signals transmitted with the second account number.

This is not a DSC problem, this is a radio reporting unit problem.

May I ask why you have to disconnect the land line? If the panel is seizing the phone line when it dials out, that is by design. If it is interfering with DSL on the landline, then you just need a proper alarm system filter (unless it is the interface board for the radio transmitter that is causing the telco problem, in which case you need to have your original installer troubleshoot the issue.) Otherwise, have your service configure this thing to handle both accounts.
