Hi everyone! Im new to this but here goes. I have a 21 cu. ft. freezer that is slightly older than dirt. It recently went through several power failures in a short period of time. I have a surge suppressor that the power company installed at my meter so my whole system is more or less protected from surges. My freezer's compressor wont start unless I beat it half to death as its trying to start, otherwise all that happens is zzzzzzz-click as the thermal breaker on the compressor opens. I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to convert this dinasaur over to a capacitor starter and also if anyone has schematics for a cap. starter freezer compressor please!!! share them with me ive got several hundred pounds of meat im trying to save. _______Im sure the compressor is good it runs and cools great it just dosent get the proper kick to get it going from its current starter system. I would really appreciate any help I can get!! THANK YOU! (Brian S. Devine, Texas)
