I have a Fridgidaire FGF367CGSS gas stove. One of the stop top igniters needs to be replaced. My issue is I am not quite sure how to get the stove top open to get under there and replace it.
The fridgidaire site doesn't have repair manauls; but I see from the parts manual (similar model FGF367CGSE) that there are two clips at the front of the stove.
I don't want to crack the enamel or anything.
Do I just insert a pry device between the top and the base and pop it up?
Any good links to repair manuals?

Hello macnec. Welcome to Gas Appliances topic and our Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
Do not try to force up or pry open the top. Doing so will crack the glass or damage the enamel top. To release the two clips try using a thin credit card. Slip it between the two sections and push the clip back and release that clip. Do like wise for the second clip and any others.
On some models the burners are attached to the top lid. If that is the case, be sure to remove the screws securing them to the top lid.
Retail parts dealers and appliances parts stores can also help determine what the possible problem may be based upon that specific brand and model. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Dealers and appliances parts stores are listed in the phone book.
Additional Suggestions:
Read the manufacturers on line web site for product information, problem possibilities, causes, solving methods, part locations, disassembly, reassembly methods, repair procedures, pictorials, schematics, repair and or owners manuals which may be available on line.
Cautionary Reminder Note:
Before attempting any repairs, be sure to unplug the appliance from the wall receptacle power source first.

Thanks for the feedback. Here is a link to the parts manual for this stove(or quite similar to it).
ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Springfield/5995344586.pdf
Now on page 6, part 49 I assume is the clip. There is a right and left albeit the diagram does not show that. Do you still use the credit card to release the clip-spring?
What about parts 30 & 30a?
After I release will the top just lift right up and off?
I know for sure the igniter is the issue, it is just a matter of getting to it to replace it.
thanks, macnec

Hello: macnec
The credit card is a trick (using a credit caror other similar device) and is not going to be in the instructions. I provided it to you as a "trick" (meaning an alternate means or another way method) instead of using any special tool that is needed.
