I'm really considering adding a 1/2 bath in my basement in a small storage area behind my bar. The space is unfinished and the stack is right there where it needs to be. My plumbing goes into the floor, but the stack has an open port which current has my old water softner discharge feeding into it.
Rather than jackhammer the concrete floor, I'm looking at installing the Saniflo Plus toilet and tap it into the stack. Since I'm finishing off the area, I would us the extended and build the grinding pump into the wall, which could be accessed from the other side (had to build a closet in the finished area to hide the stack).
So the question - Is this product good or bad? I saw an earlier posting asking the same question, but he never got an answer. Should I just man-up and jackhammer the floor (really, really don't want to)?
Also here's a bonus question - Are there any good websites that show layouts for small 1/2 bathrooms? The space is narrow - 48 inches wide, but probably 8 feet deep. The entry door is on the side.
Thanks in advance for any help/recommendations!

Saniflo is a good product, your idea may not be. Saniflo is designed for houses where the sewer line is above where it needs to be. It grinds up the 'stuff' and pumps it up to the sewer line. Up does not sound like a problem for you. Consult a local plumber, he may likely agree with you.
