GE GST25KGPH Side by side. This all appeared to start after a power flicker the other day, my door ice dispenser stopped working, but the water worked. when the ice was turned on and the dispenser triggered it would dim the lights on the door and shut the compressor / fan off. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in, then water didn't work either, just dimmed the bulbs. Today i removed the light bulb and the water started working again. The compressor still trips when the ice is pressed. I pulled off the rear covers and checked the circuit board for any burning or blown fuses and didn't see anything. Pulled the rear lower panel and found a green wire with a thin yellow stripe that has been stripped and was floating freely(18-20ga). There was also a loose ground bolt which i tightened. The free floating wire is attached to what looks to be a ground distribution bracket that the power cord passes through. there are 3 wires on the block, the right wire appears to be wrapped around a noise isolation device and feeds to the frame of the fridge. The middle wire is the one that is floating freely. The left wire appears to be coming from the center of the power cord. I'm guessing that this unconnected wire would be my problem, any ideas where it should be going?

*update*
Played around with it a little bit more last night.. when i press the dispenser lever with a cup or my hand it partially opens the ice door before dimming everything out, a few seconds after it is released the ice door will close itself. I pulled the control panel out from the front of the door and disconnected the wire harness for the ice door, pressed the lever again and it dispensed ice, just didn't open the door. My light bulb socket does not appear to work at all anymore and the water dispenser is hit or miss. I'm now starting to believe that this may be an issue with the controller board on the freezer door? I would say the ice door motor but that would not explain the water or the light.
