I recently installed new lines on my Deep Jet pump for my well.
I am new to wells but I know I have a New pump and a new foot valve. THe contractor that worked on it then decided there was a leak in the pipe from the well pump to the foot valve(return line).
There was 17 inches of frost So it took me a while to dig it all up.
After installing the new well lines I noticed that the old line had been knocked off the well return during excavation. When I fired up the well pump I got only 20 psi and well pump wouldn't shut down.
I believe somthing Mud etc may have entered the return line.
Would this cause the situation I am having?

It certain could. A piece of debris like stone, stick, dead bug, chunk of rust etc. stuck in the ejector orifice will cause this exact problem.
