Hi everyone, yes yes I know, another programming question. I have everything set-up. No trouble lights, system tests are fine. But one problem, I cannot arm system without (securing the system) All zones are open. I have Front door, Back door, Windows (first floor) and motion all on there own zones. I have tried to find links and tried to go through old posts on this forum but could not find anything helpful. The book reads like a nautical map, I am basically lost at sea.

Can I get someones guidance? I have a digital keypad a newer one.

TIA

All zones have to be secured in order for the system to arm unless you specifically bypass a zone.

How do you secure zones? How do you bypass them?

Thanks again for your help.

Securing means, keep doors shut, windows shut, and not activating the motion detector, then setting the alarm.

To bypass a zone, lets say, a open window, enter User code + 6 + zone # of the window, lets say 3

example to bypass zone 3

1234 + 6 + 03

To remove bypass, simply enter your user code then off.

I suspect that you need to either install the zone resistors, or turn off the requirement for them (see the FAQ).

I decided to not place in Zone resistors. I read some where they are not necessary. So how to I turn off the requirement for the resistors?

Put the resistors in... then you have at least some remedial "zone supervision" that you would not have if you just turned it off in programming.

Look in the FAQ, this one comes up at least once a week.
