My dryer has started making a very loud noise-almost like a truck barreling through! It dries fine but I am wondering if a drum belt or something liek that could be the culprit? Please let me know what you think before I call a repairman. Could this start a fire?
Thank you, Jeany

A model number of your dryer might be a good start.

Thank you for responding but I decided since the dryer is 7 years old to buy a new one. It's ordered and being installed tomorrow. No problems ( : Jeany

7 years old is not really that old for a dryer. They usually last much longer than that, depending on the brand. Chances are you had a roller go bad that supports the drum. Anyway, enjoy your new dryer :)
