First post, so here it goes . . .
I've installed an Ademco Vista 20P with a 6160 keypad. Mounted a recessed magnetic switch for the front door and wired it to Zone 2. I assigned the Zone Type to 01 = Entry/exit #1. Everything is hardwired and appears to be functioning properly. However, the chime mode activation is reversed: Chime is OFF when active and ON when deactivated (or ""Disarmed Chime" in the display). I tried reversing the polarity of the wires at the PC board, just as a "long shot," but it made no difference (a wild guess on my part). At this time I only have one door hooked up to this zone and the EOL resistor between the black (negative) wire and "Lo" terminal post on the PC board. As far as I can tell, everything should be working correctly.
Any suggestions?

Found the answer . . .
DISARMED CHIME = System is disarmed, Chime is on. If the keypad displays just DISARMED then the system is disarmed without the chime. I was reading the words on the display as a phrase and not as two separate words.
Am I the only one who finds these instructions difficult to interrupt?

I have been in the business for 10+ years and I still find Ademco and some other manuals hard to decifer
