Hi again, I was wondering if it is expensive to go wireless? I want to set up three exterior doors into the house on a wireless system. I have a DSC Power 832. I have no wiring going to any of the doors. I was thinking if it was possible to make these doors work on a wireless module. What do I need? Is it expensive?

On the average, aside from the cost of the receiver, the transmitters cost 40-50 dollars each. Except for odd configurations, like mullioned windows, you need a transmitter for each opening.
This is, of course balanced off by not needing to cut, drill or patch drywall.
You need a wireless receiver card, or one of the keypads that has the receiver integrated into it.
Go to www.DSC.com to look at their components.
