Hello,
I am new to this forum but did check threads and FAQ for answer to the following:
I installed an Ademco 15se with 6 wired PIRs and 1 wireless PIR, a 6139 keypad & a 6128 keypad.
The keypad is reporting each wired zone (1..6) as a
fault. Zone 10 (wireless PIR) is not in fault unless I remove the
batteries.
The display shows something like:
Fault 01 Zone 01
I experimented with zone 1 by shorting terminals with wire and then also leaving the terminals with no wire (open). The keypad still reported the same fault.
I am at a loss at what to try next.
Appreciate any help.
Regards

I believe you are going to need some EOL (end of line)resistors. How did you program these into your system?

I did have resistors on the terminals. Since the PIR opens on event, I have the resistors in parallel with the PIR. In other words, for zone 1 the resistor is under screws 8 & 9, however as mentioned in original post, I tried just a wire from 8 to 9, then tried leaving it open. After these tests, nothing changed so I assume it must be the way the 15se is programmed. I have looked at the manual but can't find anything that jumps out at me. I appreciate your help!

No, if you using contacts that are normally closed and open on alarm, the resistor needs to be in _series_ with the loop wiring (it's only in parallel on a normally open circuit).
It doesn't matter which leg of the alarm loop it's on, but that resistor needs to be in the circuit.
It's not a programming issue, it's hardwired that way. Take a close look at the schematic in the install manual or on the panel door.

Appreciate your help. The series resistors did the trick. All systems go!
