So the guys who delivered and installed our washer 2 years ago took the shipping rod with them.
I am moving in two days, and just found out that I need a shipping rod to keep my washer safe during the move.
From looking at the manual and online, it looks like a simple 23" rod that slides in the side and keeps the basket still.
I don't have time to order one from GE. I can't find an appliance store who has one for sale- to me it looks like something I should be able to fabricate myself- a simple straight rod.
Anyone know the proper dimensions (ie. diameter) for this rod? I would like to take care of the washer while in transit.
thanks in advance.
